Instructed by Thailand’s top mixologists, teams learn about the background of cocktail making and how to prepare, mix, shake and serve the world’s most famous cocktails. A customised program includes your selection of cocktails and mocktails with all the spirits and mixers provided and a professional mixologist who will demonstrate techniques and tricks for making the perfect drink.
- Planning, communication and organization skills
- Delegation, time management and leadership skills
- Learning the art of mixology to bring back home
- Learn about Thai culture
- Funny, enjoyable and interactive afternoon
- Getting to know your team colleagues
Participants will be put into teams and given a set of equipment, spirits and ingredients to make a selection of cocktails. Teams will then be led through an instructional demonstration for each cocktail, tasked to make each one as close to the demonstration as possible, and be judged on the taste and quality in comparison to the original and other teams. Teams will also take part in bartending-themed relays and challenges between cocktail making to keep the pace fast and fun.
This team building activity normally takes place in a bar, a school, a meeting room or restaurant. This can also mean being on a boat, a tropical island or the top of a sky scraper. Alternatively, clients may suggest their own location to conduct this event.
The winning team is decided by a professional mixologist who will judge the cocktails for authenticity, taste, presentation and quality.
There are no safety concerns.
The event briefing and debrief takes place at the activity location. The group is separated into teams and introduced to their facilitators, then the lead facilitator gives an introduction of the event including (safety) instructions and objectives for the activity.
During the debrief, the facilitator discusses the event challenges and asks each team questions to assess their performance before announcing the winning team (if applicable).
Briefing and debrief usually take around 15 minutes each but can be extended for more in-depth analysis of team performance.
The ideal length for this activity is two hours mixing and presentation time. Trips to and from the activity location may be added or extended and of course, spend as much time as you like after the competition enjoying the drinks together.
