Seek me out and thou shall find, the treasure which is hidden which will become mine! Decoding messages and finding the pieces to lead you to the resting place for the final reward is the task ahead in the Treasure Hunt.
- To improve communication within the team
- To practice planning and organisation
- To consider leadership skills
- To focus on team synergy and individual roles
- To get to know each other and have a fun and enjoyable time
- To manage time and complete team challenges together
In the Treasure Hunt teams of up to ten participants will utilize maps, local information, cryptic clues and their own intuition to find locations and answer questions that hold the secrets and ultimately the key leading to the prize! The cryptic clues lead teams to locations where they must answer a question in order to receive part of a map. After a number of locations the map is complete and the team will be able to locate and find the treasure. First team to find the treasure wins the race.
The first challenge for teams is to solve the cryptic clues that will lead them to culturally interesting locations. At each location teams receive a cultural riddle, these are questions related to the location and must be answered in order to receive the next piece of the map.
All teams are provided with the same clues and questions but they must solve them themselves to find the locations.
Teams will race against each other following the same route. As an organizer, if you don’t wish for teams to be at the same location at the same time, we offer different routes for all teams as an add-on option.
The treasure hunt locations often change depending on the duration of the event, but often include temples, waterfalls and sites of local myth and legend. This treasure hunt takes you through the different cultures around the country from the hill-tribes, local farmers and fishing villages to fancy resorts and classy cities, full of hustle and bustle making up the treasure piece locations.
At each location, teams need to find a piece of information that will lead them to the next clue point on the map and eventually to the final location and the treasure to win the race.
Insurance and instructor supervision at all times is an important safety factor, and in the event of an emergency of team member withdrawal, transport and medical backup will be standing by.
The event briefing takes place at the starting point of the race, usually in a meeting room or lobby of the client’s hotel or a restaurant. The group is separated into teams and introduced to their facilitators, then the lead facilitator gives an introduction of the event including (safety) instructions and objectives for the activity.
During the debrief, the facilitator discusses the event challenges and asks each team questions to assess their performance before announcing the winning team (if applicable).
Briefing and debrief usually take around 15 minutes each but can be extended for more in-depth analysis of team performance.
Starting with a four hour half day option, the Treasure Hunt can be customized to a full day, 8 hour program of discovery and intrigue inclusive of cultural and activity challenges and have lunch at a fantastic setting reflecting your location. Approximate time at each location is 5 to 20 minutes, travel time to the next location also 5 to 20 minutes and includes up to 10 locations.
