The adventure begins in a camp site hidden in the steamy jungle. Each group is given sets of maps, a compass and instructions. The instructions lead the group through the jungle, from waterfall to waterfall, over mountains and sometimes even across the sea to places where either information or clues can be found. The answers found often help the group to find the other locations and complete their quest. Teams race against each other and the clock to finish the route and arrive first back at the campsite.
Activities can be carried out either on foot, rafts, on mountain bikes or quad bikes. The hills and jungle footpaths in Thailand are ideal for biking and quad biking. Optional stages include clues up in the jungle canopy that may only be reached by ropes and zip-lines, or exciting races to nearby islands by local long-tail fishing boats.
These jungle orienteering activities are ideal for playing using GPS systems and mapping software.
Using provided GPS devices, the teams follow coordinates and longitude and latitude locations instead or as well as written clues and normal maps. Teams also have the opportunity to save the routes and waypoints for their trips, and download these later to a PC for printing.
Thailand has a variety of landscapes and provides the ideal place for this type of activity.
Although almost anywhere you will be able to find a jungle area to conduct these activities, different areas have specific characteristics.
Phuket and Koh Samui is ideal for: Rope canopy, Rafting, Mountainbiking and ATV
Krabi and Khao Lak are nearby provinces and provide opportunities to go hiking, rock climbing, rafting, camp building and even sailing.
Chiang Mai is ideal for mountain climbing and rafting.

After each game the losing teams will go to tribal council to choose a new leader. The winning team will get one point and receive a container with a piece of information or item to their advantage in the next game. This could be a piece of a puzzle, some advice or an extra turn. After the last game the team leader of the winning team receive the team idol which is a Thai mask or Buddha miniature statue.
Insurance and instructor supervision at all times is an important safety factor, and in the event of an emergency of team member withdrawal, transport and medical backup will be standing by.
Pre-briefing with survival skills training and tips, and debriefing and analysis lead by instructors will form a part of the process, both to enhance the learning outcomes and experiences of the delegates, and to ensure that the team works together is empowered to overcome the challenges it faces.
Starting with a four hour half day option, this challenge can be expanded to a twenty four hour event including one night away.
For those seeking a greater survivor challenge, an event of two days and two nights gives plenty of time to experience leaving civilisation behind, or for the ultimate adventure, several days marooned on your own private island!
