For groups with a tight schedule that want to include team building but still experience some of the local culture, we offer short but impactful activities that get everyone in the right mood for the day. A selection of short culturally unique challenges that can be selected in any order you wish.

Making Teams has a variety of local teachers, experts and artisans that span the heritage of the culture of your choice. Each can be called upon to guide your teams through their particular field of expertise. Example cultural challenges include boxing, dancing, traditional music or preparing a famous dish.
A wide range of activities is available that can be held indoors or outdoors depending on the location and activity type. Below is a short list of example activities in Thailand:
Muay Thai Experience: your group will be instructed by a master Thai warrior who will show you the basics of the ‘art of eight limbs’ and get to test out your skills on the pads.
Lam Thai challenge: your group will be led through a series dances representing different areas of Thailand. Your dance instructor will choose a select few to try to replicate the dances they have just witnessed.
Som Tam ‘Bok Bok’: your group will see how Thailand’s favourite dish is prepared. And Will get to experience it for themselves but beware as our ‘vendor’ will be taste testing and has very high standards.
Temple challenge: Depending on location your group will visit a typical Thai temple and learn everything needed to pay respects in a Buddhist place of worship. You’ll be challenged to find information, make merit, give offerings and try to obtain a blessing from a monk himself.
Thai music: your group will see a selection of Thai instruments being played and receive basic instruction in how to play them. Your teams must observe and try to replicate as best as possible what they have just been taught.
Kite making: needs outdoor space. Learn the traditional ancient Thai craft of kite making. Our kite master will guide you through the process of binding thin reeds and delicate paper together to form a formidable flying machine.
Thai basket weaving: watch the expert Artisan weave thin reads together to form useful baskets and other objects where you will then have to weave a basket of your own.
Thai fruit carving: watch our top chef carve intricate and beautiful objects from simple fruit and vegetables. Armed with your carving knife and carrot you will learn how to create some truly astounding table decorations.
Thai Language class: Learn the basics of Thai language, letters and vocabulary and play a competitive game to test your ability to learn quickly. Mix and match, Thai script to Symbols.
Thai flower Garland making: Teams will be shown how to thread a traditional flower garland. Their task is to make the longest flower garland they can in the allotted time.
The location for the event is usually at the client’s hotel or own office space.
Scoring and a winning team is not applicable as this is not a competitive activity, however this may be implemented upon the client’s wishes.
Insurance and instructor supervision are important safety factors with any event, and in the event of an emergency, transport and medical backup will be standing by.
The event briefing takes place at the activity location or the client’s hotel meeting room or lobby. In the briefing the group is separated into teams and introduced to the facilitators, then the lead facilitator gives an introduction of the event including instructions and objectives for the activity.
In the de-brief the lead facilitator goes through the event challenges and asks each team questions to assess their own performance before announcing and awarding the winning team if applicable.
Briefing and de-brief usually take around 15 minutes each but can be extended upon request for more in-depth analysis of team performance.
The half day program takes up to 4 hours and the full day program up to 8 hours.

The Bronze option is a fixed program with few inclusions but the Silver and Gold packages include extra benefits and allow selection of some or all challenges.
