Teams are challenged to take on the roles of director, cameramen and the all-important musical performers. Use your creative juices to formulate, plan and perform the song of your choice. Any genre and style of music is possible as long as you are willing to perform it.
- To improve communication, delegation and work flow within the team
- To improve trust, planning and leadership skills
- To get to know one another in a fun and exciting setting
- To work on cooperation and understanding yourself, your colleagues and your team
- To consider ways in which these skills can be translated into a work environment
Teams must conceptualize, draw storyboards and perform the song of their own choosing. Making Teams along with choreographers and singers will guide your pop stars through every step of the process and give expert tuition in how to make the perfect music video. Once all is ready and in place your videos are recorded with professional equipment, lights, costumes and music as required. Either your team will take control of the camera, or our video professionals will assist in the technical work. The final ‘editing challenge’ will see teams, with the help of video professionals, in a limited amount of time, rush to create the finished music video with the footage they have.
Type A) Backing tracks challenge – Teams are given a selection of backing tracks to choose from and build upon. Teams have full creative control and decide the genre, theme and style of song by themselves. Teams must write the lyrics themselves. Final videos are judged by a panel for imagination, creativity and quality of final product. Judges can be making teams facilitators or client chooses.
Type B) Lyp sinc challenge – Making teams provides a large selection of existing songs to choose from. Teams must choreograph a dance or music routine with the group ‘lyp syncing’ to the song. Final videos are judged on how well they interpret the original song as well as imagination, creativity and quality of the final product.
The location for the event is usually at the client’s hotel, own office space or nearby outside shooting locations.
The final edited videos are judged and scored to determine the winning team. The judges that score the teams are the choreographers, singers, members of Making Teams and/or the client’s company management. The winners are presented with a trophy.
Insurance and instructor supervision are important safety factors with any event, and in the event of an emergency, transport and medical backup will be standing by.
