Become the detectives as your team seeks to follow the clues and evidence to track down the stolen object and the thief. At each point along the way teams will be faced with riddles, puzzles or challenges to complete in order to stay on the trail of the mastermind burglar and become true gumshoes….
- To improve communication within the team
- To practice planning and organisation
- To consider leadership skills
- To focus on team synergy and individual roles
- To get to know each other and have a fun and enjoyable time
- To manage time and complete team challenges together.
In this detective-themed activity, participants are teamed up and given a series of riddles and clues to solve that will lead them to various locations around a designated area. At each destination, the participants will need to complete some kind of detective-related challenge in order to progress to the next location. As they proceed they will be able to finally deduce from a list of suspects who the thief was and find the missing artefact.
Challenges can include any number of detective-themed riddles, puzzles or the use of augmented reality to hide information in specific places. Each team will be given a suspect list at the beginning of the activity, and as the game progresses, they will be able to eliminate suspects from their list and eventually determine the identity of the thief and find the stolen artefact.
This activity can be held on site in the client’s hotel or meeting room, or can be done outside around the city at well-known landmarks.
In Super Sleuth scoring is not given, instead teams are in a race to find the thief and stolen artefact, the winning team is the one that finds the artefact first. All other teams that follow will find the treasure is gone and are instructed to go to the debrief location.
Insurance and instructor supervision at all times is an important safety factor, and in the event of an emergency of team member withdrawal, transport and medical backup will be standing by.
The event briefing and debrief takes place at the activity location. The group is separated into teams and introduced to their facilitators, then the lead facilitator gives an introduction of the event including (safety) instructions and objectives for the activity.
During the debrief, the facilitator discusses the event challenges and asks each team questions to assess their performance before announcing the winning team (if applicable).
Briefing and debrief usually take around 15 minutes each but can be extended for more in-depth analysis of team performance.
The half day program is up to 4 hours with 5-6 locations and the full day up 8 hours and includes up to 10 locations.
Transportation will vary depending on your package.
Choose from comfortable air conditioned minivans, local Songthew trucks and off-road 4 by 4 vehicles for your event.
As an added challenge, base the event on using public transport such as long-tail boats, local Taxis, and converted pickup trucks which will further test team’s ability to plan, cooperate, communicate and bargain with a budget provided for each team.
